Gold is the devil’s fishhook

It’s amazing! It’s loved! It’s treasured! It’s on high demand! It’s expensive! It’s lovely and shiny! It’s very rare yet so common amongst the wealthy crowds.

They keep coming…. pulling us far and further away from the true Love😪

I wonder who knew to call it Gold. Who knew first where to dig it. Who decided it should be so valuable yet so rare amongst human beings. Who decided it’s worth killing for. If I was a good history student I should atleast know who and when it was first discovered. However, still! Some of these questions might not be helped by some history knowledge. Wisdom of our forefathers might apply to cause understanding on some of these worries. Overall, God should know why He would give such a valuable stone to man, by create in humans; expertise to discover this stone, that can cause them kill each other for.

Some will say nature created Gold. Others will say God created Gold. History and science will conclude gold comes from stone; or even better, gold is a stone. A stone of nature or from nature. Stone that will be in the soil, or with soil. Science will still correct me that stone is part and parcel of soils; a soil component. So Gold is a soil component for say! I may need correcting in my Science understanding or in my language interpretations. Back to it’s origin, if nature created gold and not God. Then who created nature itself?

Gold! I fail to understand why you had to come into the harmony of human beings existence. Before your discovery our forefathers had no much reasons to kill each other. They didn’t imagine that one day they would kill their brother or sister just to own their possessions all to themselves. Gold who sent you with death carried on your back?

I am thinking it, you’re most probably thinking it. It is God who created Gold. By now even wondering that “if God love human beings so much; then why would He create them some possession worth killing for?”. We humans, and it is very normal and okay to think like that. Most likely inevitable for our brains and nature . But still! Let we not forget that no one has the right or strength to question God. He is above all and everything is under His command. He is no man that He be judged. He also knows what is good or bad for His creation. As we are all and everything else under the sun products of his art of creation. We know not better than Him.

Many people have fallen into the temptation of killing or betraying their loved ones in order to own this gold . Adulterly have been committed for Gold. God’s name have been used in vain in the name of Gold’s possession. Children have disrespected their parents in order to have a piece of Gold. People have been accused falsely for the sake of Gold. Theft of Gold happens all the time. So Gold is the new world’s idol. It have taken God’s position and comfortably fitted His shoes. Gold who do you think you are?

Do you want to turn a human being good behaviour? Why don’t you Promise them gold. Do you want to forsake God? Then put gold first before God. Do you want to kill a brother or a sister? Then let gold control you more than the love for human race. Do you want to eat God’s lamb in the process of nurturing them? Then let Gold be the reason why you spread the Gospel of God. Do you want to die fast and painful? Then let all your wars be based on seeking gold. Do you want your mind to be the devil’s workshop? Then let you think that gold can solve all your trouble and problems.

Is Gold evil? ofcourse my answer is No!

Why No? . No! Because it is not the collective course of evil. Even if gold was never discovered by man or created by God. Still! Evil would exist in this world amongst humans. No! Because gold also does some good in the world. Also No! Because God would never create something in this world to harm his children [His sons and daughters].

He Christ got us in His hands🙏🏻😊

I know the word gold is so much repetitive in this article. But! Am not only talking about this shiny hard and valuable stone. Gold in this case can mean so many worldly things that seems valuable and good to have, to own, to do and to explore . Things that pulls us away from Christ in the process of acquiring or exploring them by doing. My worldly gods’ most probably aren’t your gods’. Christian or not; at some point in life we all fall into these kind of sins. I would be as hypocrite as hell to think myself “holier than thou”. So you name them; things that you idolise as making them you “gods” and forget that we must only worship one God who is our Father and Creator . Here the word “gold” is the universal word for all those worldly temptations [gods] that have pulled us away from the goodness and compassionate love of Christ. However the case, our Daddy in Heaven loves us anyways’ He wants us back to him; if we only come humbly willingly, and repent our sins. He is with open arms ready to receive us to ‘Thee Kingdom which Christ Jesus went to prepare for us.

In summy humans without God in their lives are generally messy and needs correction now and then. From the very beginning of time in our existence at the garden of Eden, sin have always been so near to us and we most times fail terribly in avoiding it in God’s absence. The devil also on the other side is always right here with open hands ready to welcome us into sin. And immediately the minute we step away from God’s love and compassion. He grabs us, steals us, lie to us then finally cause our destruction. Hypothetically speaking, let rhetorically ask ourselves. If you were Adam or Eve, alone left in the garden of Eden with the devil on your case, would you have done things differently; handled the devil’s lies and deception in a Godly way; in a manner that wouldn’t have you hide from your Master and Creator? . Ask yourself that🤭🤔

  1. Great article 👏, dear. The world is full of shiny temptations that can block us from seeing or reaching out for real substance, which is the creator of the universe who controls everything – including gold. One may ask, then why do human beings tend to worship the creature rather the creator, himself? This a question we must constantly ask ourselves. Am I worshipping the creature or creator to help us restore our focus on what really matters, and that’s God the father and his beloved son, Jesus.

I enjoyed reading it and thanks for sharing, Fredrick.
